The problem with bellyaching about a mailing list is that it's inevitably the sum of the people who
take part in it. Your only tool (anyone's only tool) is to try and drive all the people who bring
things you don't like to the list away. With some people that's easy but others are more difficult
to influence and I suspect that all the people who are likely to flee in terror from your bodily
assertions have either been driven away long ago or joined, shrieked in the back of their throat and
unsubscribed immediately.
So.
Your only option is acceptance. Get what you can from the list or, if there's nothing you want or
the effort to find what you personally define as "signal" amidst the noise is too great, leave.
