This 1955 Orson Welles film has evoked thoughts of Pynchon in at least one
reviewer: "We're in Thomas Pynchon's Zone, a borderless territory where
history survives only in junk, bad jokes, and rumor," worte B. Kite in The
Village Voice (http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0407/welles.php). It's
playing this weekend (on a double bill with The Trial) at the Film Forum in
New York City.

Coming in April: The Third Man.

Cheers,

d.
