373.7: "' Whole problem 'th you folks's generation,' Isaiah opined, 'nothing personal, is you believed in your Revolution, put your lives right out there for it -- but you sure didn't understand much about the Tube. Minute the Tube got hold of you folks that was it, the whole alternative America, el deado meato, just like th' Indians, sold it all to your real enemies, and even in 1970 dollars -- it was way too cheap. . . .' "
How does this passage compare with that of Isaiah's namesake?
Isaiah 2:4 (King James Version):
"And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plow-shares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more."
Is Isaiah passing judgment on the Boomers for their Revolution sell-out, or for being duped into giving credence to the "alternative America" depicted on the Tube (which sidetracked the Revolution)?
