M&D rifle details

If I understand correctly, the wrist and comb is that part of the rifle 
behind where it is held by the right hand during shooting (sorry, my 
terminology sucks). The grain refers to the "waters" of the wood. The 
grain is what "billows there in stormy intricacy", probably because of 
the curved shape of the wood there.
