Pynchon cartoon in New Yawker

Not surprising that the chi-chi elitists who run the New Yawker had some hack cartoonist take a dig at TP.  Except for some few dozen obnoxious MFA students and English lit. dupes looking to crib some material off the latest Johnny UpPike,  the New Yawker is a rag designed for the east coast, Ivy League bourgeois who have "arrived" in business or academia--but who still want to think of themselves as progressive or hip, while scanning the ads for jewelry, yachts, luxury cars, wine -swilling vacations in Tuscany,  domestic servants, finance offers, etc.  Those who would write about the lives of the "preterite", or, for that matter, entropy, rarely make an appearance..........
