Subjectivity?

It's always interesting to see how different readers respond differently 
to TRP's novels. Everybody brings in their own "truth", interprets 
subjectively, recollects selectively and arrives (if so) to quite 
distinct conclusions. Sure, "everything connects", but the connections 
made vary considerably. Sometimes they're not even in the text! The 
reader often projects his own preconceptions and acquired notions of 
"truth" into the text, not to mention his own paranoia. Now, is that 
wrong? I don't think so, but when one is searching for absolute "truths" 
-- and, even more, when he is pretty convinced he has found them -- he 
seems like he's engaging in a defloration of logical discourse.
