Hey Scoop,
That's a lot of fire in response to a simple post (and a polite one to boot)
saying a cartoon spoofing Pynchon's famed reclusiveness is not likely a sign
that the "New Yorker Community" (Does such a thing exist? how does one join?
I'm sure you're an insider there.) must be hearing rumours of Pynchon's next
novel's imminence. Of course you spin this fable to boost your importance,
since you broke the "fall 2005" rumour. Sorry to disagree with your claim
to fame. Talk about needing a life! Jeeze.

BTW, you can continue to claim I didn't submit a top ten novel list (not
that such a thing is important - Jeeze), but I did. Ask the list compiler.
