Needa can't speak for himself? I guess my dazzling
prose had a bigger impact than I suspected.
The last word he gave the p-list on this - his recent
misleading protest to the contrary - was to beg off
because he hadn't read 10 novels, or maybe he meant
(it's difficult to know, he' so inarticulate) 10
novels worthy of that sort of list.
And the fool still got it wrong in his misguided
zinger about what I had posted about Pynchon's next
novel rumored to be coming in fall 2005, taking me to
task, altogether incorrectly, for passing around the
retread rumor about the next novel's content when in
fact I had posted re the date of publication.
Gentle, maybe we could reach some reasonable financial
arrangement wherein you will speak for NeedaLife from
now on, so he won't have to post any more to the
p-list?
