Her death is rippling through  the SF Bay Area; my
wife didn't know her, but knows people in the local
Chinese community who did.

Before she wrote The Rape of Nanking, she wrote a book
about the Chinese missile expert who had initially
learned his stuff from the German rocket program,
Tsien Hsue-shen; we know people in China who knew him.
 The book is called _Thread of the Silkworm_.  I
posted on this some time ago, after I found and read
the book, it's good and many of you will like it, I
expect.
