The quality of this thread is superb.  If a few p-listers heard a high pitched buzz earlier, it was the sound of katz's e-mail flying over their heads.  It reminds me of that Far Side cartoon where the gifted kid is pushing on the door marked pull.

By the way, how much tail do you think Joe Campbell snagged when he taught there?
