No doubt something or another will come up/come to me
o'er the next couple/three days, but ... but for all
intents and purposes, I've finished posting notes on
Pynchon's "Introduction" to the Donald Barthelme
anthology, The Teachings of Don B. I realize I got
caught betwixt flame, er, skirmish and holiday
weekend, but ... but do note (again) how Pynchon's
ongoing interests and/or obsessions, not to mention
those Pynchonian turns of phrse (to the point where
there are points which seem nigh unto parody, albeit
gentle, of previously published passages) manifest
themselves throughout, and perhaps think, how do the
elements and themes P idnetifies in B (e.g.,
melancholy, et al.) serves perhaps to mirror/as
projections of those in Pynchon's own writings? Let
me know. Thanks ...
