collectible Pynchon books

$125 for GR, condition mint, was a steal, but after GR's publication, esp in
the 80's (when collecting was gathering a sort of vogue feeling for the
wannabes), $75 for V was larceny. I haven't found COL 49 to be as valuable.
And I think you can still find Vineland firsts in discount houses.
Peace
Mark

Sheesh,
Investment city. I paid $125.00 for my GR, mint/mint. $90.00 for COL49,
VG/VG, $75.00 for V., VG/ G. The 80's, TRP wasn't too famous.
I know of a book club ed of GR in mint/mint for $200.00. I didn't even
know they did a book club ed of GR. Looks just like the Viking ed. The only
diff is there is no price. Will they keep going up? Who knows. 3K is
a lot to gamble. Unless he just likes TRP and wants one. Then it doesn't
matter.
Regards
