Pynchonoid, some of you may have noted, does not write about anything
specifically related to Pynchon's texts. His site is sort of the AOL of
Pynchon sites. There are lots of  bits of meaningless quotes and blurbs,
slogans, and headlines spammed in like advertisements: "famed reclusive
novelist Thomas Pynchon spotted at Passaic Salvation Army store"; yes,
some of this bric a brac touches on issues related to criticism or the
texts, but for the most part the material on pynchonoid.org is
superficial and obvious.

 

Recently the clown who runs pynchonoid.org has, in good belle-lettrist
hyena fashion, deleted all of the comments posted to the blogs. Whoa. A
man wielding such effective censoring skills and hypocritical
neo-liberalism  has a damn good shot at an English professorship in an
Ivy League or UC school..
