One of the strangest afternoons I ever spent - and I
have spent some strange ones - was when I accompanied
a 75-year-old Chinese gentleman (friend of my
father-in-law) to watch the Oakland A's play the
Yankees.  

His first baseball game.  Mind- and
vocabulary-expanding trying to translate it for him. 

"Jose, can you see?"
