Not to feed the jolly troll

It's an interesting article, isn't it.  Bersani was in
the French department at UC Berkeley - head of dept. I
think, or about to ascend to that position when I
graduated - while I was a student there.

If lolly is conflicted about his or her sexuality, I
hope he or she manages to find a way out of that box,
I'd imagine it's not a very pleasant situation.

We've got a few folks who have been shuffling around
the streets near the Berkeley campus for years now,
ranting and raving about this or that injustice that
happened to them as grad students, it's a real shame
to see them locked in that cycle.  One of them carries
a briefcase and reads fragments of what would have
been one of the most unwittingly entertaining PhD
dissertations of all time, then argues its relative
merits with an invisible jury, acting out all the
parts himself. Perhaps lolly is one of the lucky few
who manage to get on a computer terminal in a public
library now and again and post their shrieks to the
Internet.
