Yo deep thinker: Perhaps you would, enjoy of instead of chiming in with the clueless Toastmasters at the waste.org sockhop, tell me what is mistaken with an assertion that Derrida's agenda is quasi-idealistic and hegelian (JD said himself that he was continuing Hegel's project) and thus denies the possibility of criticism based on any form of materialism, whether darwinian or marxist. A hegelian approach, even one modified and tweeked ala Derrida, is in effect inapplicable (or at least very limited) in regards to  Pynchon's texts , which draw more on materialist, if not marxist/anarchist and behaviorist themes ( with  technological aspects/.implications as well).  Or just make another  bubblegummy comment.
