That whole thing blew up just a few months after I
subscribed to pynchon-l, fond memories indeed.... The
perpetrator writes occasional pieces for a political
blog, Daily Kos, I discovered the other day.

Seeing as how the troll can't write a coherent post
about anything, this would surprise me.  But I've been
surprised before. Maybe it will be one of those novels
similar to one published in France not so long ago,
written in cell phone text-messsage argot - for the
hip youngsters, you know.

The jolly-as-Terrance thesis is the best one put forth
so far, imo.  If so, it's T's best persona yet, pared
down to a handful of traits proven successful at
provoking us p-listers:  bombastic philosophical
claims (which parrot, in some respects, the anti-PoMo
rants of T in earlier days, jacked up with a high
buzzword/gibberish quotient) with no follow-through,
ignorance of Pynchon's texts, inability to deliver
anything but brain-dead insults, salty language, and
homophobic epithets.  The out-dated hip-hop slang,
reminiscent of T in his "street-smart" pose, is just
icing on the cake.

At the same time, the gibberish factor and inability
to form complete thoughts, combined with the
relentless attacks on yours truly, beginning at my
pynchonoid.org blog, lead me to suspect NeedaLife (aka
"David Morris"), who suffers the same weakness when it
comes to communicating complex thoughts clearly, and
who checks in on a regular basis with comments about
pynchonoid.org remarkably similar to the lollipop
kid's.

I'd change the subject line for this thread to
Whineland Revisited.
