Your retread observation is as false now as it was the
first 9,999 times you served it up here, I've said no
such thing re Pynchon/history/fiction as you suggest.

Fact remains, Pynchon does put a lot of "history" into
his novels, and appears to have a lot of fun doing it,
he also talks about doing it, as in the observations
re history, facts, lawyers, barroom confabulators,
etc., in M&D. 

You're just miffed these days, I suspect,  because of
the way jollyroger has stolen your epater les
bourgeois thunder.  And maybe it is time to refresh
your act, get some new material, possibly - gasp! -
explore greener pastures, get out of your rut, let
yourself go, and grow....
