The irony of it is that Dugdale must be "middle aged" and/or "elderly"
himself, as also is Pynchon. But, yes, despite the legitimate criticisms of
the doco he makes that description does come off as somewhat uncharitable.

Perhaps Dugdale's major gripe there is that nobody asked to interview him?
