NP C-span and Paranoia

Howdy

My paranoiac-gland is being tickled pink. As most of your probably know
already, C-span has a web site with video archives of American
political events (www.cspan.org), and also Prime Minister's Question
time in the UK.

My computer will connect fairly reliably to Republican material, but
not to Democratic material. The two particular speeches which I'm
focusing on for the moment are:

"Kerry-Edwards Post-Republican Convention Campaign Rally" from Thursday
night

"Al Sharpton, 2004 Presidential Candidate" address to the Democratic
Convention

Could it be that the Republicans have set up computers to overwhelm the
C-span servers with requests for these two speeches, and maybe others? 
I'm hoping that all y'all on the P-list will go check them out and see
if you can connect. If so, then the problem is at my end.
