Maybe not every box of Mitchell's novel is perfect, but you can't
fault his ambition and it's obvious that the talent is there.  I think
it's a shame that he wastes some of his gifts in this one by mimicking
other voices, but read as a whole, _Cloud Atlas_ is a very good book.
I like his first two better, but this one will keep me reading him.
