The web was silent on Blaisdell.
I don't know his first name.
I don't know his part in Warlock,
save what Pynchon suggests:
Wyatt Earp is transmogrified into a
gunfighter named Blaisdell
So surfing Wyatt Earp was not really relevant,
save Pynchon leads me to believe he recognizes
the model of Wyatt Earp in character Blaisdell.
Perhaps Wyatt's reality help to add full blooded
humanity to the characterization or novel events.
because of his blown-up image in
the Wild West magazines of the day,
Rather than being a fictional character based
on a real-life author, Blaisdell has his basis
in fictional texts existing within the novel.
Blaisdell: Blazed 'ell, Raised Hell, Razed Hell.
