top tens: enough teasing

Before I show you the list please remember that it is not at all too late to post your own top ten.
My software makes it very easy to add new lists. I'd appreciate it if all the main posters (and
possibly the list founders) either participate or clearly state their desire not to. Those of you
with multiple list identities might want to use them to get some of your "nearly books" into the
chart (just don't make it so obvious that I have to disqualify your lists). All aspects of the
mailing list should be represented. Lurker's submissions are very welcome. Don't be intimidated by
the deep philosophical texts in this list; if your favourite book is "the cat in the hat" then feel
free to stand tall and proud with your list held tightly in your hands and say so...
