This is even more difficult than fiction:
1. Confessions, Saint Augustine
2. Essays, Montaigne
3. The Gulag Archipelago, Solzhenitsyn
4. Basic Writings, Nietzsche (cheating, I know)
5. The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, Julian Jaynes
6. The Anatomy of Melancholy, Robert Burton
7. Collected Works, Charles Sanders Peirce
8. The Education of Henry Adams
9. Philosophical Investigations, Wittgenstein
10. The Diary of Samuel Pepys
Needless to say, this is entirely arbitrary. There is so much left over I won\'t even try a close-call list.
O.
