Which I was thinking I should say too ..

but has anybody read CP Snow's "Strangers and Brothers" sequence?

Because I finished one of them last night and felt throughout that it was
nothing more than second rate Dance to the Music of Time,  but, had I read
the CP Snow
stuff first, and in order, perhaps I'd have been unimpressed by a Powell out
of sequence?
