  Was there a BBC show, on PBS, called Survivor (something like that) in the 80s? Featured a spy trying to come in from the cold and he kept landing in new "adventures?"  It was a serial of sorts. The ending of each episode was a very large bubble floating across some water.
  Very surrealistic.
