If someone feels “overwhelmed by and beat-up by” GR, I ask them not to 
ascribe that reaction to others. The fault, dear reader, is not in our 
authors, but in ourselves. And this has nothing to do with an F/M 
difference. If more men than women enjoy GR, I think the reason lies 
elsewhere.
