That "Orpheus Theater" is ostensibly, at least, in
L.A., isn't it?  Gravity's Rainbow as a sort of "white
fantasy"?  "The screen is a dim page spread before us,
white and silent" (ibid.).  "Fantasy"--and, esp.,
"white fantasy," up to and including those of
Weissmann, Blicero, Die Bleicher (bhel, blank)--as a
recurrent theme, word, even, all throughout GR ...
