TPPM Watts: the Gospel of Progress versus Watts the Real

As I've said, I'm now reading the Recognitions, and near the beginning a 
definition of "reality" is offered (paraphrased) as follows:  "Reality is 
that which you cannot avoid."  In this case reality would be poverty, and 
using thid definition, the fantasy of the whites would be to think that they 
are free from the effects of poverty.
