I thought Kerry was more confident in his overall presentation.  Bush seemed
defensive and, I thought, spoke more vaguely about his "successes" this past
term, whereas Kerry seemed to have details and current statistics at the
ready.

(Yes, I know statistics are ultimately bullshit, but in terms of a debate
strategy I thought it set apart the confidence of Kerry from the
defensiveness of Bush.)
