Pynchon 1984 Intro

That's as it was abridged in the Guardian, I'm
assuming, as the source is noted there (it's no longer
available on The Guradian site, so far as I can tell),
but, as it came up here recently, it'll get anyone
interested started.  I very likely posted whatever
little is missing here a while back, but I'm horning
in on a friend's record shop's computer here, so ...

But, yeah, it's available, in the Plume centennial
edition (you do know that there's this invention
called books ...?, to paraphrase Jules Winnfield). 
Yoiu could read the entire novel on amaon.com, but the
Intro doesn't show up on the searches, so ...

But there's not a helluva lot missing there, so ...
