To me, its just association "secret winged flame" = the rocket. "stooping
starlight"  spectral, bended light.

GR relation maybe Pynchon´s emphasis on the year 1904, which is year one in
Crowley´s new Aeon. In fact the year in which he channeled, the liber AL.
