Thanks for the correction. However, it seems as if TWV, with a "'D'
wing" housing "a few genuine patients" as its "cover" (139), has four
wings. Just like Holkham Hall.
If the Palladian ground plan of 'TWV' were symmetrical, which is
eminently possible, then it would most certainly form the inner section
of a mandala. All one would need would be a circular path set in the
lawn around the house to complete the effect.
It's not as if there aren't other examples of mandalas in the book. ...
But perhaps we need spoiler warnings from this point?
