Has anyone read _Indecision_ by Benjamin Kunkel. It was a book I
found hard to put down. What a talented writer, even though his
novel is about 20 somethings, who to me should be like a foreign
country. The book takes an odd trajectory. In very quick order the
hero (whom Kunkel claims elsewhere is not himself) goes though a
"maturation" process that is normally thought to occur in reverse
order. Of course, It may all be irony. Impossible for me to tell.
Still a good book.

Kunkel is quoted somewhere as saying something to the effect that
it's impossible nowadays for literary successes like himself to do a
Pynchon or a DeLillo. Now they get immediately sucked into the
literary limelight and having to express opinions on everything. I
doubt if this is really true. What does Kunkel expect when he has
his own online literary magazine?
