G--

I think whoever did this one can fairly say that islamic
fundamentalism is responsible--same motive, same M.O. for the most
part as the Madrid bombings (no word yet on suicide bombers but
initially it does not appear to be so)
But Bush's policies (and those of America's allies which to Bin Laden
and company is much of the Western world) no doubt have made the
world a vastly more unstable place (large scale military operations
are worthless in fighting this war as we are doing in Iraq and
Afghan.)--and these scumbags who blow up innocent people will always
be around to do what they do no matter where. No way a "war on terror"
will ever be defeated--it will peter out one hopes over time.
America could have lead the charge of many nations to fight
fundamentalist movements--but the US decided to go it alone in Iraq
where the PR campaign for Bin Laden and company really took off--think
if we really concentrated on Afghanistan with more of our
resources--more boots less bombs, and with the help of many other
nations than we have now spread about--
I don't have the answer--we do need to get these crazies or at least
keep them away from the NBC weapons--responses are needed, some of
which are not pleasant. But we've got too many targets now and the
folks running the show are playing on that fear.
