they kinda are already in iraq--contractors, soldiers of fortune all
in the mix making huge bucks doing the same things the poor GI is
doing out there...I've read that troops have a very uneasy
relationship with these independents--having to extricate them from
firefights and what not.
Much of the what the military does beyond combat has already been
privatized, and it started before Rumsfeld's plans for reorganization.
