the pynchon pic

i don't know. i'm skeptical. look closely at the eyebrows of the old pic. they taper real nice as they travel towards the ears, like they've been plucked. the more recent pic shows very bushy eyebrows, with little or no taper. also, look at the eyes where a woman might apply eye shadow--it's noticably more space on the more recent pic. there's much less space between eyelash and eyebrow in the old pic. and the teeth--it's hard to see from the old pic, as it's not a full frontal, but i don't notice the gap that i do in the more recent pic. in the old pic the teeth look smooshed together. nice try, but i don't think it's him.


i know good photos of thomas pynchon are rare so that i was wondering if any 
of you have seen this awesome pic on the French poetry site Delirium:
