NP re. fake pics and other hoaxes

Of course the Wanda-Letters did not change anything, but Pynchon 
definitely didn't become the reclusive author he is now because of them, 
as Rob's argument indicates.

The difference between the Wanda-Letters and the Japanese 
Playboy-interview is that we know for sure that he didn't write those 
letters but we don't know at all if the interview is a hoax or if it's 
authentic.

And, where's Pynchon cynical about people?
