I think both Glenn and Keith have given a strong answer: there is no 
Pynchon Cabal, decoding the secret Truths, there are just people who 
like Pynchon, but with no particular event to bind them, besides books. 
  Glenn's position of 'no centre to find' and Keith's 'hold your nose', 
both seem very positive, in a way.  This list isn't anything except for 
what it is, and that is being defined again with every e-mail.  Or 
possible Pynchon photo.
