Comics is definitely where it's AT these days according to a New York
Times article. It's good the Pincher is represented.

Smart career move :-)

On Paul's other news (or I should say find) I managed to obtain the
August 1931 issue of Western Rangers containing the novelette "The
Kenosha Kid." It's a good story, one I can well imagine young Tyrone
reading and being impressed by at the age of 11 or 12. The KK is a
professional poker player except that he patterns himself on Robin Hood
and is so good at reading the character of his opponents that he can
always manage to cause the undeserving crooks to loose and the deserving
poor to win. The villain in the piece is Slip Antero. Unfortunately the
words "you never did the Kenosha kid" do not appear in the novelette.
However the Kid is first encountered riding a sorrel pony (reddish
brown) which literally gets shot out from under him on the first page.
