A passage in Exodus (29:38) where God tells Moses what he wants from
the people of Israel in the way of ritual sacrifices. Among other
things this included daily burnt offering of two handsome yearling
sheep, the first in the morning and the second in the evening. 

Second sheep = the evening sacrifice (bled, dismembered and burnt)
