Anyway, what your discourse lately reminds me of is the idea that
Pynchon bridges CP Snow's 2 worlds.

In a Pynchonically altered state last night I had the notion that
Gravity's Rainbow was a series of equations, like a proof, and the
group read was trying to figure out how each step led to the next.
