No question that I agree to this, but there's on thing in the commentary
  that I question. The commentator says:

"After the bombing of London, Coventry, and other English cities, after
the malicious destruction of Rotterdam (just for the hell of it), after
the mass atrocities on the Eastern Front, after the Holocaust, just what
could Germany expect?"

Nothing wrong with that generally (and the conclusion) but he should
have left out the Holocaust in that list. The air raids on German cities
did not happen because of the Holocaust, they were primarily directed to
stop Germany's war machine. Both things, the Holocaust and the bombings,
shouldn't be confused.
