 I like David Icke's worldview, for a sense of that (he said,
 forfeiting
 any trace of credibility)  (-;

But wasn't it Jamf who set up the experiment with Infant Tyrone? And
what is he doing, dipping into behaviorism instead of following his
own advice and studying the silicon bond?
How highly is Jamf placed, with Them? Or is he too just a tool,
dream-driven like Kekule? But then the dream-senders aren't promoting
the silicon bond, but the humanistic potentials in the carbon bond

it's hard to disagree, given the headlines...but why, I don't get why
if They have the ability to control things, they wouldn't just decree
and enforce pleasure...

rather than thinking Slothrop's attracting the rockets, what if he's
counteracting their effects ahead of time by spreading "mindless
pleasures" -- what if They aren't all-powerful, but are acting
counter-entropically in Their own way?
