In section 1.1, who is "Inside the carriage" riding the train?

I attached it to the first person named, now already awakening,
who I presume may be returning (aortist) to the crystal palace:
"His name is Capt. Geoffrey ("Pirate") Prentice."

In 1.2, we have another rail reference, near Prentice:
"little tracks of an elegant Victorian cross section
resembling the profile of a chess knight conceived..."
"The scenes are highlights from Pirate's career as a fantasist-surrogate"

I once had a short piece of rail, used it for an anvil.
Its cross section is like an I-beam, but the top is not
flat, neither is it skinny, sort of a squarish ellipse.
Not like my cheap set's molded horse-head, but clearly a
possible shape for an abstract chess knight.

I am (when aware) especially attuned to the word, Come!
It is not just from hearing one evangelist say, "and the
word is, Come!", but from many biblical references, and
how that in Engligh, to come is to ejaculate, central term
in the mystique of words of the ek-klessia, the called-out.

"You didn't really believe you'd be saved."
"Come, we all know who we are by now."

The evacuees come as to a cathedral, and Prentice is shown
as its priest, Providence, a seemingly omnipotent saviour.
While Prentice has numinous skills, Paul's more sure word,
even these un-numinous lay are nevertheless to be saved.

GR's banana is obviously a penile reference, but a banana
is not a grape, which is to me a testicles & wine reference.
How do grape and banana differ? Jesus turned water (semen)
into wine (blood), connoting the death of doner/ejaculator.

The banana here more resembles bread in its use: Antidote
to too much drink, endless, miraculous supply, feeding many.

I suggest banana and grape differ as coitus versus fellatio:
Tumescence is required for one; No tumescence for the other.
Autofellatio is the death of the Lamb; Elsewhere, especially
at Revelation seal 4, named Death seems to indicate fellatio.

That ineffable word, "Fuck!", coitus itself, produces life;
A best tantric approximation, to say "Come!" only consumes;
But in a postponed fashion, a death marking while yet alive.

Where do his bananas grow? in the fertile impasto, womb type.
Thus the whole crystal palace is a type of the New Jerusalem,
a destination, a pardise, contrasted to the everyday outside.

Outside, a new penile reference threatens, the rocket bomb.
Prentice imagines it arriving in this womb he now occupies.

How does a rocket differ from a banana? It is not fruitful,
like a banana--or rather, the fruit of the rocket is death.

It also potentially, here in Prentice's imagination, reaches
towards the womb, but not actually in this part of the story.

How shall I map this metaphor difference on real mens' penii?

I shall suggest that some are bearers of death, others, life.
Deciding their exact discriminants is important to me, but it
is not ready yet. I do recall how the fruit of Sodom is death.
I forgot provenance; An actual 'Apple of Sodom' is poisionous.

I will suggest that my prime theory, taking in all the symbols
I consider, is that penile-anal intercourse is the culmination
of judgment, (should there be some I can forewarn, certainly I
expect some included I will offend) just-possibly irrecoverable
sin that marks the semen recipient as unjust, and such penis as
filthy; Turning "judgment into gall, and fruit of righteousness
into wormwood". This is especially informed by my whore #3, who
turned over and inserted my penis in her anus, but she relented
before I came; the type of seal #3, rivers, and placeholder for
others at this test: type of star who fell from heaven to earth,
but if ejaculating, then named Wormwood, his waters made bitter,
by which "many men died".

So, I resolve to study how Pynchon portrays diverse sexual acts.
Certainly, Pynchon has appetite to describe everything there is.

E.g., Prentice assesses the Germans will kill Bloat, first shown
with "an empty champagne split in his hip pocket" which I'll map
onto a man who has been sodomizied by a previously fellated man.

"Teddy Bloat is mincing bananas with a great isosceles knife"
further hearkens back to Revelation letter #3, that, (if I came)
"I will come unto you quickly, and fight against them with the
sword of my mouth." So, the sodom-used penis has type of sword.
Great, gk MEGA, is a prime mark of reflexivity, of autofellatio.
So I might further suggest that Bloat is even a type of Balaam.

I know certain people may exist, such pointedness must offend.
