My Oneirine connection switched me to a homeopathic preparation, so
maybe that's where I got the idea.

But he does have some mighty credits:
Sleeper?  Love and Death?  Hollywood Ending?  Picking up the Pieces?

True, he tends to write, direct, and act in his own creations.  He'd
probably be willing to play a cameo.  

You could probably get all kinds of other people to play cameos, too.

Actually, I'd like to see you-know-who direct it. 
O-or Sir Stevie? Probably has the resources if he were interested.  
Somebody made an awesome movie of Finnegans Wake.  Saw it in Ann Arbor
at the college with a good friend.  These towering (it still hurts to
read that word) works, can not be transcribed (some of the effects,
like "Icicles by Vera" in that Nabokov story, wouldn't lend themselves
to the screen) completely though.
