I'd say that it's this "we're right, you're wrong" rhetoric which 
motivates pretty well all human conflict and internecine struggles -- 
terrorism, the war in Iraq, oppressive despotism of all stripes. It's 
certainly not the only way of looking at or behaving in the world, 
socially and politically-speaking.
