French publisher "Le Cherche-midi" set up a year or so ago a new
collection named "Lot49". Unsurprisingly, they aim to publish works by
"heirs" of writers like Gaddis, Pynchon and Burroughs or even by their
"neglected predecessors" (remaining unnamed). They say they feel close
to McSweeney's.
So far, they have published Richard Powers' "Three farmers on their way
to a dance" (first and so far only french translation of his work),
Nicholson Baker, Brian Evenson, Mark Leyner and Curtis White. I have to
admit little knowledge of these writers (Powers excepted).

The latest book thay have published is "memories of my father watching
TV" by Curtis White. Anyone read it? Is it worth buying? And what about
the other writers I mentioned?
