Certainly religion proceded science, as surely as the
"Dark Ages" preceeded the enlightenment, and there
is evidence to suggest that "art", however that might be
defined, proceeded language- at least, the rule based
version we recognize as speech.
Was it just an e-laboration of the utilitarian, or, some
deep inner precognitive feeling that working for a living is
a raw deal, and the man with the coonskin cap can show
you a better time?
Call him an agent, and he wants his cut...
