point making

Nice, nice, very nice...uh..but what's it have to do
with me speaking broadly about what Pynchon detractors
are likely to think of his more emotional scenes? My
estimation, broad and general as it is, still
stands....since you're the rhetoric wizard around
here, you should easily recognize generalizations used
to stress a point, and which can be later qualified if
need be....y'know, like someone saying; " Congress is
a bunch of greedy politicians"...well...yeah, I
suppose...but how greedy is each one? For the effect
desired of the speaker, it suffices to slam the point
home with a crude generalization...don't worry about
my personal perspicacity, Jr....I can deal with
oversimplifications just fine thank you; I know when
to leave well enough alone...as when people appreciate
an aphorism by Nietzsche, say or pick your
favorite....myabe you thumb your nose at all
aphorisms, but if you ever have NOT, in that case
guess what? you were having no problem with, by
definition, a GENERALIZATION....
